What is SAA certification?
SAA is certified by Standards Association of Australia, so many friends call it Australian certification. Electrical products entering the Australian market must meet SAA certification standards.

SAA certification method
There are two kinds of SAA logo: one is formal recognition; the other is standard logo.
The formal certification can only be responsible for the samples, and the standard marks need to be reviewed by each factory.
At present, there are two ways to apply for SAA certification in China. One is to transfer it through CB test report. If there is no CB test report, it can also apply directly.
SAA certification cycle
In general, the application period for Australia SAA certification for it, AV, lamps, small household appliances and other common products is 3-4 weeks. If the product quality is not up to standard, the date may be extended.
When submitting the report to Australia for audit, SAA certificate of product plug (mainly for products with plug) shall be provided. Otherwise, SAA certificate of important components in the product shall not be handled. For example, SAA certificate of transformer in the lamp shall be provided for the lamp, otherwise the audit data in Australia shall not be passed.
SAA certification penalty principle
The electrical products exported to Australia must meet the electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards. If they fail to meet the requirements, they will be punished as follows: detain or confiscate the products; or impose a fine of about US $10000 for general individuals and US $200000 for the company.
