VCCI certification in Japan
VCCI is the EMC certification mark of Japan, which is managed by the Japanese Electromagnetic Control Council for interference by information technology equipment. VCCI certification is not mandatory, but information technology products sold in Japan are generally required to carry out VCCI certification. The manufacturer shall first apply to be a member of VCCI before using the VCCI logo. In order to obtain the approval of VCCI, the EMI test report provided must be issued by the testing agency registered and approved by VCCI. There is no immunity standard in Japan at present.

VCCI certification process
1. The manufacturer or agent shall make an oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.
2. The applicant shall fill in the application form and send the application form, product instruction and technical documents to the certification company (if necessary, the application company shall also provide a prototype).
3. Certification company to draw up plans and offer.
4. The applicant confirms the quotation, signs back the quotation, and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the certification company.
5. The applicant shall provide technical documents.
6. The certification company issues a charge notice to the applicant, and the applicant prepays the certification fee according to the charge notice.
7. The certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certification activities.
8. If the technical documents are not perfect or the specified language is not used, the certification company will notify the applicant for improvement.
9. If the test fails, the certification company will inform the applicant in time and decide whether to suspend the project according to the situation, allowing the applicant to improve the product. The applicant shall change the technical data in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the change.
10. The certification company will issue a supplementary charge notice to the applicant for the rectification costs involved in Articles 9 and 10 of this page.
11. The applicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary charge notice.
12. The certification company provides the applicant with test reports or technical documents, as well as VCCI compliance certificate.
VCCI certification notice
Manufacturers need to be a member of VCCI to use the VCCI label. Manufacturers around the world can become members of the organization only by paying membership fees and once-a-year membership fees. That is, after receiving the product test report, the customer must pay the membership fee and membership fee to VCCI before using the VCCI label, which is the so-called procedure of registration in Japan.
Products that pass the VCCI standard will allow the right VCCI label to be placed on the product. The A-level label of the product shall indicate that the product complies with the RF radiation terms. On the contrary, the B-level product only needs to display the basic VCCI symbol.
Note: the certification is only for it computer peripheral equipment, not any electronic and electrical products, other products are applicable.
