Brief introduction of PSE certification in Japan
PSE certification is a Japanese compulsory safety certification to prove that the electrical and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of Japanese electrical and raw material safety law or international IEC standards. Japan's dentorl law (electrical device and material control law) stipulates that 498 kinds of products must pass safety certification when entering the Japanese market. Among them, 165 class a products should have the diamond PSE mark, and 333 class B products should have the round PSE mark.
PSE certification mark

Class a compulsory certification: special electrical equipment and material products class B compulsory certification: other electrical equipment and material products
PSE certified product range
165 class a product types are as follows:
Wires and cables, fuses, wiring devices (electrical accessories, lighting appliances, etc.), current limiters, transformers, ballasts
Electric heating appliances, electric power application machinery (household appliances), electronic application machinery (high frequency hair remover)
Other electrical and mechanical equipment for AC (electric shock insecticidal device, DC power supply device), portable engine
333 class B products are divided into 7 parts:
1. Simple wiring sleeve and junction box;
2. Simple single-phase motor between 100V and 300V;
3. Household electric heating products;
4. Household electric or video game products;
5. Civil or household products using light sources;
6. Household and commercial electronic products;

2. Test preparation data:
1) CB report (including difference test in Japan);
2) Layout;
3) PCB design drawings related to safety regulations;
4) Specification of transformer and coil parts;
5) List of key components and certificates;
6) Japanese user manual or assembly manual;
7) Japanese nameplate and warning sign (including PSE sign and the name of the notified supplier);
8) Structure data sheet;
9) List and calibration certificate used in factory production.
3. provide samples for test: at least two main inspection models and one derivative model.
PSE certification cycle
4-6 weeks (when the data is complete and the sample does not need to be rectified);
Validity of PSE certificate
